Bob Sprinkel was the man who let the Genie out of the bottle when we all gathered to launch Competitive Capital Fund in San Francisco in those years of invulnerability, brilliance and charm. We all swept along in his wake, like seabirds trailing a majestic ocean liner, not knowing or caring the destination, but ecstactic in its unfolding. I have never laughed so much in my life as when I worked for that man. There was no crying in baseball!! We batted and batted until we batted it out of the park. It was pure Sprinkel genius, in the words of Gandhi, '"First they laugh at you, then they ignore you, then they fight you, then you win." -- Rock on Robert, and then come again:) Love, India

I'm very sorry to learn of Bob's death. I knew and liked him at Harvard Business School, and in later years we saw one another in Europe. He was very bright and a good guy.

To the family of Robert L Sprinkel, III
It was quite a surprise to learn of Robert's death in an internet post this morning. I am so very sorry for the loss of your husband and father.
Just as Robert and Nancy were about to depart the US for France, I contacted Robert about getting in touch with his aunt Beatrice. Beatrice and I visited in the past about our common families. Robert L. Sprinkel, the first, was a brother to my Grandmother. He was "Uncle Rob" to my father and his siblings.
If possible, I would love to have Beatrice's address in order to send her a card from time to time.
Sincerly,
