Bob Sprinkel was the man who let the Genie out of the bottle when we all gathered to launch Competitive Capital Fund in San Francisco in those years of invulnerability, brilliance and charm. I'm very sorry to learn of Bob's death. I knew and liked him at Harvard Business School, and in later years we saw one another in Europe. He was very bright and a good guy.
