Fred wasF such a gentle man. I never knew that he was a Berkeley native until I read this obit, thank you for sharing his bio. I have many fond memories of him from the Walden days, and of course, of the whole family. I love the picture you chose to accompany this. It truly shows a man of profound thoughts, good spirit, and the curiosity to live a life of active engagement. My deepest sympathy for the loss of your treasured Fred.
