Surrounded by friends and family, Henry Chu, 90 years old, passed peacefully Wednesday afternoon, June 12th. A proud immigrant of China and a proud American, Henry loved his family, his friends, and all night mahjong sessions. All who met Henry were entertained by his stories and his sly smile. No one ever left his table hungry or thirsty and he was always happy to share whatever he had. We were fortunate to have him in our lives as long as we did. We will miss him greatly. Henry is survived by the love of his life, Louise, his wife of 65 years; his two children, Shirley and Stan (Diane); his grandchildren, Lianne, Stephanie (Brandon), Jonathan, Justin, Ashley (Noah), and Kelli; and his great-grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, and Marissa.
Friends and family are cordially invited to attend the celebration of life service of Mr. Henry Chu on Sunday, June 23, 2013 1:00 p.m. at the Tiffany Chapel of Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA. Interment will follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Hillside Blvd. Contributions in his loving memory may be made to Chinese Hospital, 845 Jackson St., San Francisco, CA 94133.

I will remember Mr.Chu as a smiling,
gracious gentleman. He was well loved and respected. To be surrounded and cared for by his beautiful family, in his final days, is a testament to his caring, generous spirit. May God bless his family and be consoled by the wonderful memories of a life well-lived. Kay Sylvia
