Robert Simonetti Obituary

Robert Simonetti Robert Michael Simonetti, of Thousand Oaks, CA, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2010. He was born in Long Beach, CA on January 21, 1957 to Albert and Jeanette Simonetti. He attended St. Barnabas Elementary, St. Anthony High School, LB Poly High School and Long Beach City College where he was an active member of the Order of Tilsmen. Robert was an entrepreneur in the retail and restaurant businesses. He worked for Taco Bell and later in management positions for Polly's Pies, Fiddler Three, Rusty Pelican and Red Onion. He relocated to Thousand Oaks where he opened his own sports bar/restaurant, The Yucatan Cantina for 15 years. After the restaurant, Robert owned and operated Conejo Motors and Image Motor Transport. He enjoyed working on vintage cars, playing music and being surrounded with family and friends. Robert thoroughly enjoyed spoiling "his special girls", his Golden Retrievers, Alexis and Carmen, who will miss him very much. Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Simonetti; and survived by his father, Al; brother, Frank; sisters, Joanne (Charles) Shelton and Nancy (Robert) Hoyt; along with his nieces and nephews, Lisa and Carly Shelton and Matthew and Steven Hoyt. Our hearts have a hole with your name on it and your time should have been much longer with us. You are finally home. Viewing is Sunday, October 10, from 4-6 p.m. at the Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary with a rosary to follow at 6 p.m. in the mortuary chapel.
