FRED HOLLAWAY Obituary

82, passed away 10/13/2010. He has lived in the San Bernardino area all his life and last 47 years in Ontario. He served in the US Army during the Korean War earning the rank of Sergeant. He worked in the Electronics field for 20 years. He was a lifelong pilot and loved flying, he was a member the Antique Airplane Assn. Fred is survived by daughters, Lisa K. McCown, Melinda Samaniego; sons, Douglas Hollaway, Gregory Hollaway; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. A military honor service will take place on 10/29/2010 at 2:30 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, staging #6. Arlington Mortuary, Directors. (800) 275-4648.

I had breakfast at Maniac Mike's at Cable yesterday. Went into the "classroom" afterward and looked at the pictures of the Porterfields on the wall in there and remembered bringing Fred's home with the VW Bus, oh so many years ago.
It was a nice memory.
