Dear Jim.
We missed you at theThanksgiving dinner table.Your quick passing was a shock to us all, yet we are thankful you did not have to suffer through a long painful illness. While we could not see you, we felt your presence at the table.
You were part of the celebrations.
It was a spleasure meeting you and be part of your family since 1993.
We treasure the memories and wish you God's speed on your journey along the happy trails. Rest in piece.

My Dad was ....well, he was what he was. I never had to guess at his feelings, wonder about what he was thinking, or question his motives. My dad was a simple man. I know he loved me. I know he loved my mother.....dearly. I know he loved my brother....I loved him. My dad was a handsome fellow. I always used to tell him that he reminded me of James Garner. It might seem far fetched to some, but I really saw a resemblance. My dad was a teacher, not necessarily the best teacher, but eventually you'd learn the intended from him. He taught me to waterski one summer when I was 16....in salt water. If you have ever waterskiied in salt water, you know that hitting salt water when you go down is like hitting cement. Well, I hit it alot, and my dad was soooo ticked off that I wasn't listening to him and doing what he said. I remember his lily white veiny legs in his too tight swim trunks "showing me how it's done". Oh what an image! Now I keep seeing him in my mind walk in the back door from working. His hat and stupid satin Plymouth jacket on...I can't beleive this is real....I'll miss you daddy.

Jim was a man after my own heart. He always did what he said and said what he thought. His family's love of Pismo got me into riding and it gave me and my family many fond memories of our trips together. His love for his wife, Mary, and the care he gave her right up to the end, showed what kind of man he really was. Jim may be gone but the character and attitude live on in his kids.
I will miss you old man.

Well it was great growing up with Jim right next door. He was a wizz at fixing anything. He was so funny and I have some of my best childhood memories with the Wilson's. When I told my kids about his passing it took a second for them to get it in their heads who he was but all I had to say was "Sonny with the black and white bus".. and they knew right away. There is nothing in life that can replace a Pismo trip in that bus with Jim at the wheel. No other man could have given us the laughs, adventures and yet turn around and so dearly take care of Mary these last years, the way she was always taking care of us. Rest in peace Jim.

Jim was a character that's for sure! He lived his life in his own way - that's what made him so special!

I've met Jim only a few times but I can tell the tough exterior and the many lines on his weathered face told a cornicopia of a life fill with many stories.. The adventures I have lived pale in comparison to the man that he was... I wish I would live half the life he did R.I.P. You will be missed...

Jim is my grandpa...always picking on me,but knew he loved me.Sometimes he was stern but always from a caring spot. He will be deeply missed. To be honest i dont know what to say..still hard to accept it doesnt seem real. I just know that god is taking care of him now.
