RONALD JONES Obituary

RONALD LLOYD JONES Age 73, entered into rest on October 17, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 30, 1937, to Mr. Lloyd Jones and Ms. Romaine Phelabaum, in Harrisburg, PA. Ron served in the United States Air Force for 4 years before meeting his wife, Louise, while working in Nevada. Shortly after, they moved to San Bernardino, where they lived for 18 years while raising their 3 children. Ron was a dedicated employee of GATX Pipeline for 33 years and moved to Apple Valley, CA, in 1988, where he retired. His hobbies included fishing and playing the lottery. His family loved and admired him for his strong work ethic, family values and generosity. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Lamb, and his son, Michael Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Louise Jones, his daughter, Cynthia Holcombe, 2 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Victor Valley Mortuary, 15607 11th St., Victorville, CA. Those wishing to do so may make donations to St. Jude Hospital in the name of Ronald Jones at StJude tribute.org.
