ANN MAURAN Obituary

AUGUST 28, 1928 - NOVEMBER 15, 2010 Born Ann Frances Argento to James and Petrina Argento in Rochester, New York and was the beloved sister of eight siblings. After plenty of courtship she finally said yes to Donald Robert Mauran and they married on October 15, 1955. She remained his beloved wife for fifty-five years, a story of true love. Ann also was the kind hearted mother of three children: Donald and Warren Mauran and Lynn Mauran-Croisdale. In 1980 she and her husband Donald opened up Mauran Ambulance in San Fernando, California and pursued their dream of helping many people until the year 2000. After raising her three children and running a successful business she continued to be the same loving person but this time as the infamous "Mema." She was the precious grandmother or better known as Mema to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Now she is our Angel up in the sky Searching the infomercials for else she can buy Watching her soap operas and reading Fabio books Looking for chicken wings, meatballs and whatever else she can cook Listening to Big Band music and dancing away Wearing her slippers and if you listen you can hear her say "HOWDY!!!" The Viewing will be held at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary located at 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills, CA 91345, on Sunday, November 21, 2010, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 5:00 p.m. The funeral services will be Monday, November 22, 2010, 12:00 noon, at the San Fernando Mission Rey Church located inside the San Fernando Mission Cemetery located at 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills, CA 91345. Thank you Mema for all that you have done for your family and the community you lived and worked in. I cannot begin to express how much your grandaughter, my wife looked to your guidance and advise as being mother and wife. You will be truely missed by all you have touched with your kindness and love. I am so glad I was able to call you from Afghanistan and speak to you. One last "HOWDY". I will miss you Mema.

May God give you and the family the Strength and Peace needed during this difficult time.

Anne was a beautiful person who loved her family and adored her husband. I will never forget her meals she cooked for us at Mauran Ambulance... I ate so much I broke the bench seat in her ambulance. My prayers are with Don, Donnie, Warren and Lynne...God Bless and Keep You.

There are not enough words to express our deepest condolences on the loss of Mrs. Ann.

Mr. Don, Warren, Donnie, Lynn and family: Your 'Mema' was definitely an Angel here on earth and will continue to be one in heaven now. She will always be remembered in our hearts for being so loving, kind, and humorous with everyone around her. We will never forget everything she did for our family and forever be grateful...?

We want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

May God give you and the family the Strength and Peace needed during this difficult time,

Tania Martinez
