BILLY DALE BOWMAN

87, of Ontario passed away on Oct. 23, 2010 at Inland Christian Home in Ontario, CA. He was born April 9, 1923 in Bloomington, Illinois and lived in the Pomona Valley for 56 years. He worked as a warehouseman for 30 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and WWII Marine/Paratroopers Association of Survivors. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII, where he was awarded the Silver Star for heroism on Iwo Jima. He enjoyed reading, attending Marine Corp Reunions, hunting and his family. He is survived by his wife Bernice Mildred Marie Bowman; daughters Dale Schafer, Joyce Miller and Maureen McNaboe; his son Mark Bowman; his grandchildren Kelly Miller, Shannon Bowman, Daniel McNaboe and Samantha Bowman; and his great-granddaughter Brooklyn Bowman. He is also survived by his son-in-laws Donald Schafer, Keith Miller, and Michael McNaboe and his daughter-in-law Diann Bowman. Graveside services will be at 11:30AM, on Monday, Nov. 1st, 2010 at Riverside National Cemetery. Donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
