CHALRES HOUSKA Obituary

passed on at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California, on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Charlie was born June 3, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to the Riverside, California area with his family when he was seven. Charlie graduated from Rubidioux High School in 1962. He served in the Navy on the USS Gridley from 1964-1968.Charlie worked in wholesale and retail management and lastly, for twenty years, as Materials and Stores Supervisor II for the state of California. He retired five years ago. Charlie married Michele Kasberg in August of 1976. They made their home in Montclair, California, since then. Charlie coached and managed AYSO and Little League, Junior League, and Senior League teams as his sons grew. Charlie also played slo-pitch softball for years and enjoyed major league and minor league baseball, football, concerts, fishing, vacations in Big Bear and numerous cruises. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ontario. Charlie is survived by brothers, Jack McMullen and Ron Houska; his wife of 34 years, Michele; his daughter Chaelyn Fredrickson; sons Jason, Jeremy, and Neal; and four grandchildren. Following Charlie's wishes, there is no memorial service. Those who would like to honor the memory of Charles Houska may send contributions in his name to the Music Fund of the First United Methodist Church of Ontario, 918 North Euclid Avenue, Ontario, CA 91762-2320
