DOROTHY CAMPBELL Obituary

of Pomona, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at Pomona Valley Hospital. Born in Hollandale, Mississippi to Teola Allen and John Walden Flowers, Dorothy was the oldest of 11 children. She moved to Los Angeles in 1956 and relocated to Pomona in 1964. Dorothy spent 20 years as a Dispatcher for the Los Angeles Police Department. Dorothy is survived by her sons Leland Darryl Sparks (Sally), Donald L. Sparks (Patricia); her daughter Rohna Sims (Tracy); grandchildren Raihni, Camille, Dylan, Duncan, Quintin and Rhiley; sisters Barbara Penn and Patricia Simpson; brothers Laird Simpson and Ronald Simpson. Funeral services will be held at 11:30am December 7th, 2010 at Todd Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Darryl, Donnie, and Rohna, Joe Washington and Kathy Washington Ford send our deepest sympathy of the loss of your mom, Auntie Dorothy as I knew her. I know the pain of loosing a great mother as I still miss my mom. Be strong in the Lord and allow him to give u peace. I love u guys and am glad Tony and Karen were there to represent our family. I will always remember the visits we made to Pomona as children and know that your mom and my mom were like sisters. if any one of u have a facebook page plz look me up under kathy washington ford.
