Let me see if I remember
the words my mother said,
when she calmed my broken heart that day,
when I worried about death.
Snuggled tight between my siblings
when my tears began to fall,
we were leaving my dear Grannimoms
And mom noticed it all.
"Mommy, she can never die,
but I know that cannot be!"
I recall how mom just took my hand
And somehow stopped my sobbing.
Today is now a different day,
and these are different times;
all these years I´ve had my Grannimom
through many of life´s finds.
Angels all in heaven now
shine even more brightly,
for they get to sing with Grannimom
as she´s crowned in Gods glory!
No one knows exactly why
a few stars sparkle more,
perhaps they´re under greater light
while they work through their course.
And so, to my dear Grannimom,
I wish to tell you this..
"Thanks for all those many times
You just hugged me with a kiss.
For pearly shells we found together
While wading at the beach..
for noticing the good inside
and making sure I see!
Thanks for all your kindness
and for helping me be true,
for tender words
for stronger words,
and the good they meant to do!
For telling me to call my mother,
for she cries endlessly,
and to be sure to come home on time,
and don´t forget to read.
For taking me to go have Julie
and for watching Tasha too;
Parenthood was new to us,
and we were quite confused!
And all throughout my lifetime,
as I cherish who you are,
I will work hard to let my own light shine,
and take time,
to see the stars.
I love you

Once I had a Grannimom
who´d jump and laugh and play,
and run around with all of us
and liven up our day!
She´d rush by and before we knew
she had composed a plan,
with organization of her own
to busy little hands.
Now I have a Grannimom
Who sits a´rockin chairs,
She knits and pearls
and hugs the girls
and sews them underwear!
She teaches and listens,
her eyes will glisten
at all she´s come to know;
such a crazy world around Grannimom
yet still she seems to glow!
She may now move slower,
But as we´ve grown older,
There´s more that I can see,
Like tiny buttons twice my age
She´s saved so carefully!
This is my wonderful Grannimom!
So loved by all she knows!
And God has blessed me with her love,
to watch me as I grow.

once upon a time ago
In a town not far away,
There stood a cozy little home
Where all the children play.
There was always pie and ice cream,
Scents of coffee and fruit trees;
A little blonde girls haven
Where she always loved to be!
`Twas the house that she called " Grannimoms"
Just in front of her daddy´s´.
It was there she learned of nursery rhymes
And to pluck piano keys.
There were afternoon trips to the beach
And drives to the duck pond;
Such fun singing along the way
together with Grannimom!
And when this gal grew older
she gained confidence to say,
"I bet I could beat PaPa at a game of chess today!"
Then PaPa told his stories
as she listened intently,
he spoke of days when he was young,
enjoying memories.
And he would count the years she knew
then ask "how old am I?",
as she tried to count the fingers shown
while they flashed the decades by.
The episodes of "Lucy "and "All in the family",
Would set a special happy mood
Amongst the laughing three!
The walks around the block at night,
Oh endlessly cherished times,
could never all be spoken here
recalled in simple rhymes.
But though the years have come and gone
In my heart this home remains..
collecting little memorables,
and adding family names.

I will forever hold onto my memories and thoughts. You will forever be loved and missed. I think of you daily. Some with laughter and some with tears. To my dear grannymom. I love you and miss you. xoxo

Trough All Things
Busy she was-
Writing a peom, snug in her home
Knitting a baby bonnet with a pom pom upon it
Mending socks, storing yet another box
Baking apricot cobbler, as Children slobber
"Did you get enough to eat? How about something sweet?"
She'd say, as I looked down at my big feet
Busy she was-
Laughing and singing in the rain
I can remember her still, even in pain
Thanking God through all things
Feeding the ducks, saving her bucks
Deep into the sea we'd swim
Walking hand in hand
Collecting sea shells from the sand
Helping others, through many struggles
Oh the memories she did bring
Telling stores on the swing
Planting trees, pulling weeds,
Barbecue and watermelon
Homemade ice cream for desert
In the yard, Loved ones all around,
As flowers blooming in the sun
She brought us all together
And from her pourch she would wave,
As our cars all drove away
Butterflies and humming birds fly free,
Now so is she
Can we remember her still?
Let us all be thanking God through all things
She now can remember us again,
As her life in Heaven does begin
Love

God saw you getting tired & a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you & whispered "come with me". With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest...God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best....
Mom/GrannyMom:
"God will hold you in His arms forever ,as you held us, and never let you
go"
