Enrique De La Garza Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2010. He was born on February 21, 1925 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Enrique married Albina Barraza on September 28, 1952. She preceded him in death in 1997. They were married for 45 years. Enrique and Albina moved to West Los Angeles in 1955; then to Arleta in 1966. Upon retirement, they made their home in Visalia, California. Most recently Mr. De La Garza lived in Santa Maria, California. He is survived by his son, Dr. Enrique De La Garza, MD and his wife Dr. Giana De La Garza, MD and their daughter, Noelle, of the greater Chicago area; his first born daughter, Margarita Yolanda (De La Garza) Jackson and her husband Michael and their children, Christina, Matthew, Samuel, Patrick and Alex; and his second daughter, Leticia (De La Garza) Escamilla and her husband Sergio Escamilla and their children, Diandra, Sergio, Daniel, Anna, Isabela, Adan and Lilianna Escamilla, all of Santa Clarita. Mr. De La Garza along with his wife, Albina, raised a family to be proud of. He will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at San Fernando Mission Rey. Entombment to follow at San Fernando Mission Catholic Cemetery. Directors 818-361-7387
