Estella Salce Obituary

SALCE-Estella Salce, passed away October 10, 2010 after a long battle with lung disease. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vincent Salce; sons, Kenneth and Gregory Salce (Karen); daughter, Lorie Hargrave (Hal); sister, Rosemarie Stenmo (Art); 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by daughter, Kathryn Salce-Garibay. A '51 graduate from Citrus Union High School, Estella worked for 17-years as a teacher's aide in Azusa schools. She was a beloved wife and mother and good friend to many. Grave site services to be held at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills on Friday, October 15 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation will be accepted by the Be Perfect Foundation or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I am so glad I had the chance to speak to Stella and to you Vince at Lillian Cortez's funeral last year. Know that Stella is no longer in any pain, and visiting with my parents in heaven. Lov to you all. Nancy Talley Solem

My condolences to Vicente, Kenny,Crickets, Lorie and the entire family. I have very fond memories of Stella as a woman who really enjoyed life & loved people. I can still hear her very distinct laugh. May our Lord bring you comfort during this time.
