Dawn, although I didn't know your mom, I know she had to have been a great lady. You were such a sweet, smart, and beautiful little girl; I know your mom must have had a great influence on what kind of child you were and what kind of woman you've become. You were always kind and sweet to me. I appreciated it so much, considering how cruel kids can be, especially with how I walked with a limp. I appreciated your friendship at Burnett and I wish we had gone to high school together, too. I lost my mom quite a few years ago; although the pain lessens, you never stop missing your mom. You and your family are in my prayers.

Dawn and family:
I'm so very sorry to learn of your loss. Your mother was always so good to me and, though maybe I drove her crazy in the process, she still dressed me up "pretty" for my senior prom.
My heart goes out for you in this challenging time, and you're in my heart and prayers. Godspeed, Ms. Hopson-McClure.
