Genell Magaret Tietz

TIETZ-Genell Magaret Tietz, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of ninety-two. She was born on July 16, 1918 in Baltimore, Maryland. A few years later her family moved to Los Angeles. In 1936 she married her true love, Robert E. Tietz. They had two sons, William Franklin and Steven Robert Tietz. Genell enjoyed her role as Mother of the family and loved to cook and entertain at their home in La Canada and later in Sierra Madre. The family especially enjoyed summers at their home in Lake Arrowhead. She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Frank Schuessler. Genell leaves behind her two sons Bill ( Irene) and Steve ( Sue). as well as her sister-in-law, Bette Schuessler, granddaughter, Alison Warners, step grandson, John Acosta, neices, Susan Schuessler and Sandy Cox as well as several great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on January 4th at Preston and Simons Mortuary in Riverside.
