Jack Musmecci Obituary

MUSMECCI-Jack Musmecci, 78 of Palm Desert, Calif. passed away October 26, 2010. He was born in Los Angeles on May 12, 1932. In 1950 Jack graduated from Lincoln High School in Los Angeles. He served our country in the Air Force in the Korean War for four years. He played semi pro softball for four years. He went to work for Eureka Press for 30 years. He was married to Rosann Musmecci for 54 years. Together they retired to Palm Desert in 1993. Jack loved to hunt, fish, golf and he played a great game of cards. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Angelina Musmecci; and his father, Carl Musmecci. He is survived by his wife, Rosann Musmecci, his son and daughter-in-law, Ric and Marian Musmecci; daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Ron Karlsson; sister and brother-in-law, Lu and Bill Lester; granchildren, Nic, Kalen, Jessie, Travis, Kathie and Ryan; nieces, Karen and Susie Lester, and many family members and friends who have been a blessing to us all, thank you. He was a wonderful husband, dad, son, brother, papa, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend. He will be in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be given by Al Christensen, California Fire Chaplain, held at the Woodhaven Country Club in Palm Desert on Sunday November 14, 2010 at 12:00 PM, lunch and a celebration of life will immediately follow. Brings back many memories of the good times at Lincoln High School (got out the old annual with photos) We all went our different directions, but the connection was always there. Jack and I were team mates on the B Baseball team at Lincoln High School. Our birthdays were a week apart!!!
