Cindy,
Rick & I were absolutely stunned at the news of Bill's death. Our memories of Bill on the beaches of Hawaii in the 80s will forever be treasured. He spoke so lovingly of his family, whom he missed tremendously on those trips with Elgin Sweeper Co. I so enjoyed his sense of humor and his love of life was obvious. His absence in the industry will be felt. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. - Rick & Donna

Dear dear Cindy,
I am sending you and your family my sympathy, and wishing you courage in the wake of Bill's passing. I was stunned to hear he was gone. My thoughts are with you, and have been since I heard the news from my dad. Bill lived two lives in one, didn't he? I remember him so well when we grew up. Our families (Bips and Haaks) spent many holidays and fun times together. I'll never forget Easter Day in the desert, shooting clay pigeons, with Esther's ornate silver candelabra centered on the picnic table. Bill certrainly was raised by two people whose humor was expansive and caring, nonstop. He once took me out for a movie and ice cream. I'll always remember him as the first guy to ask awkward me out; a family friend, but thoughtful and fun. He was always so outgoing and comfortable with people. He must've built up his company with all of that charm and a lot of smarts, but marrying you was THE smartest thing he ever did. You are strong and resilient, like Esther. He would want nothing less.
I love you!
your classmate and friend,
Carolyn (Bippart)
