John McFadyen Obituary

John William McFadyen March 22, 1933 - Dec 25, 2010 John William McFadyen, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and papa (pampa), died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his home in Long Beach. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, John relocated his family to Long Beach in 1967. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret; their three children, Linda (James), Ian (Laura), and Allison (Richard); and his brother, Archie (Mary). John spent 40 years working in telecommunications, before settling down in retirement to enjoy the academic and athletic accomplishments of his 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. Cornelius Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 30th, followed by a graveside ceremony at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Cypress on Monday, January 3, at 3:00pm.

My name is Charlotte Bulloch, my grandparents were close friends of Johns from scotland. I met you all when my family stayed with Margaret and John when we were in California about 11 years ago and was good friends with Jacqulin. My dad was close to you dad and loved him very much and it was an honor to meet john. I wish i could have met him again. I came across this while looking for jacqueline on facebook. I would love to get in touch with you all again.All my love Charlotte. xx
