Julie Adamson Obituary

ADAMSON-Julie Adamson, was born on May 22, 1939 at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. She has been a Pasadena resident all her life. She attended San Rafael Elementary School, Mc Kinley Jr. High and Pasadena High School. She later attended PCC and UCLA. She worked for many years as a dental assistant in a periodentic practice helping to support her son and husband in medical school. Julie grew up attending the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena. She ultimately became a youth counselor and traveled with the youth on their choir tours across the country. She sang as a soprano in the Changel Chair for many years. In addition to her love of music she was an accomplished water colorist. Her flower portraits particularly are beautiful. Travel was a big source of enjoyment and included Norway, Sweden, Denmark, England and Italy. She particularly enjoyed trips along the California Coast. Time spent traveling with her grandsons was very important and relished. This past summer she spent several days on a fishing trip to the Sierras with two of her grandsons, naturally she caught the biggest fish! The Assistance League of Pasadena, with their multiple charitable activities was a recent addition to her life and she enjoyed her participation. Julie is survived by her husband France, son Greg Adamson and his wife Cindy, grandsons Vince, Bo, Tyler, and Nick. She is also survived by her brother Andy Haynes and his wife Mary Ann. She was an elegant, charming person and beautiful in every way. Visitation Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Cabot & Sons Chapel 27 Chestnut St. Pasadena A Memorial Service will be held at The First United Methodist Church, 500 E. Colorado Blvd. Pasadena, Monday 11:00 a.m.

I am saddened to hear of Julie's passing. I also grew up in the youth group at Pasadena FUMC, and Julie was one of my counselors. Her compassion and love of God will never be forgotten. Peace to all those who grieve her loss.
