LINDA BOOKHOUT Obituary

61, quietly passed away in the Claremont home of her mother, surrounded by her loving family on September 24, 2010 after a two year battle with a Brain tumor. Linda was born October 11, 1946 in Covina, California and raised in Azusa, Pomona and Claremont California. Linda attended schools in southern California including Pomona Catholic, Cal Poly Pomona, and Citrus College. Linda followed Her father, Frederick E. Stemrich as the Manager of Admissions for the Los Angeles County Fair. Linda joyfully worked for the Los Angeles County Fair for 40 Years in several capacities , taking the position of Manager of the Admissions and Ticketing Department from her father in 1999. Linda and her husband Jim married for 37 years, raised both of their children in Chino and Alta Loma California. Linda is survived by her husband, daughter and mother. Her son Jonathan 34, preceded her death on September 18, 2010 in Seattle Washington. A funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Claremont California October 5th at 10:00 am. In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to the Jonathan David Bookhout Memorial Fund, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, P.O. Box 19023, Seattle, WA 98109-1023 (call 877-308-3117 to make a donation by phone), or San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland California.

Jim and Daughter......I just thought I would look for Linda then You on Facebook, but sadly I came across her Obituary. I'm so very saddened by this news, and the passing of your Son. I have so many fond memories of them both at the Fair! I hope you are doing well as it's been about 3 years now....and I'm so sorry to have not known. My sincere condolences Jim.
