Marinel Bontempo

BONTEMPO-Our beloved mother, Marinel Bontempo, was born in Bude, Mississippi on Tuesday, July 24, 1923, the fourth of five children of Thomas Japser Hutson and Josephine Thurman Hutson. She passed peacefully in her sleep Monday evening October 25th, 2010, in Pomona, California, after dealing with numerous complications that resulted from her recent hip injury. She was 87. Our mother leaves this world a far better place, with seven children, fifteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, whom she all loved with her whole heart. Marinel was the most loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother anyone could ever have. She was a loving and devoted wife, a true companion, and soulmate to our father, Gasper Anthony Bontempo Senior, for almost 50 years. She defined the very meaning of the word 'family' to each of us forevermore. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd from 4:00PM to 6:30PM, followed by a Rosary, at Queen Of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 Fullerton Road, Rowland Heights, CA. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 4th at 11:00AM, with a reception immediately following the funeral, also at Queen Of Heaven Cemetery.
