Pauline Willeford Obituary

Pauline Willeford Pauline Willeford passed away peacefully and with anticipation into the next chapter in her life on October 21, 2010. Born in Lincoln, NE in 1924 she spent much of her early life in Colorado with her family. She traveled the states coast to coast before settling in California to raise her own family. Pauline lived in Cudahy and Bell for the last 40 years from where she supported many military and life giving charities. She believed in her community and was so proud of her voting record and that she never missed an opportunity to serve as a juror when called. She was an active member of the Cudahy senior citizens and well known there for her wonderful baking and tireless efforts on the white elephant sales. Pauline is survived by four of her five children, Judie Thompson of San Bernardino, Jerry Willeford of Yorba Linda, Lonnie Willeford of Lakewood and Lark McCarley of Lancaster, PA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her son, Larry Willeford of Mt. Vernon, MO died in 1998. Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11 am at The Southland Church, 6200 King Ave., Bell CA 90201. Her ashes will be interred with her late husband, Claude Willeford, in Indio, CA at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church or any organization of choice in her name.
