SHIRLEY SCOTT Obituary

died on November 7, 2010, in Gig Harbor, WA. She was born June 21, 1925, to Ruth and Marion Wilson in National City, CA, and grew up there. She graduated from Sweetwater Union High School, in Chula Vista, CA in 1943. She attended the University of Redlands. After moving to Ontario, she married Robert Scott, Sr., in 1952, and devoted herself to raising her family. Shirley was an accomplished singer and sang with the Vocal Chords, a ladies trio, as well as being a soloist and choir member at church. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and the Church of the Nazarene. She worked at the May Co. department store and at the Employment Developement Department. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling in their fifth-wheel trailer. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by her children: Margaret List of Gig Harbor, WA; Dorothy Paulsen of Eugene, OR; and Robert Scott, Jr. of Tucson, AZ, along with 11 grand- children and 6 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 26, at 3:00 p.m. at Bellevue Cemetery.
