Walburgra Rutledge Obituary

Walburgra "Wally" Rutledge Jan. 22, 1930 - Nov. 10, 2010 Wally was born January 22, 1930 in Eikloh, Germany to Anton and Luisa Schulte on the family fruit farm. She lived in Eikloh through World War II enduring bombing runs and troop occupations. After migrating to America in the mid 50's she married Floyd Rowe and had two children. To help the family through lean times Wally worked as a nurse at the City of Hope for 10 years; she absolutely fell in love with nursing. She then moved to the VA Hospital in Long Beach, where she spent the next twenty years caring for and brightening the lives of many people. After Wally retired she spent her time working in her garden, which she loved, and traveling and visiting family. Wally peacefully passed away on November 10, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. Wally is survived by her two sons, Tom (Debbi) Rowe and Tony (Colleen) Rowe; and three grandchildren, Anthony, Morgan and Jack Rowe.
