William Henson Obituary

HENSON-William Ruggles Henson, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his apartment in La Verne from a stroke or heart attack with complications of hepatitis C. He was born on August 3, 1945 in Sampson, New York while his father was in the Navy. He grew up in Temple City and graduated from Rosemead High School. He served in the Navy and in the Naval Reserve. He married Dorothea Stephens in 1966. He worked for GTE for several years and then A and K Communications. He formed a partnership with Ish Communications and then started his own company, B & J Communications. He trained both his sons in communications and started them on their career path. In retirement he found enjoyment playing in Poker Tournaments. He has always loved fishing and has instilled a joy of fishing with his grandchildren. He has watched his granddaughter, Hayley, ride her horse in competitions and has gone to Disneyland many times with his grandchildren. He has thoroughly enjoyed being able to spend time with them. He is survived by his son, John William Henson; his son, Jay Harvey Henson; his daughter, Ann Marie Reebenacker; his sister, Betty Lou Jackman; and four grandchildren, Hayley Henson, Shaun Reebenacker, Samantha Reebenacker, and Nicholas Reebenacker. A Memorial Service and Burial at Sea will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Newport Landing Davy's Locker, 400 Main Street, Newport Beach, 92661 at 11:00 a.m.
