Dear Dad,
Today it's been a year since you've been gone. I miss you so much. I think about you all the time. Last weekend Markie came to visit at my Mom's. He reminds me of you...alot! He always walks around asking me to scratch his back! LOL And on Sunday, he woke up and got McDonals for breakfast! Thats sooo you! It made me want to go get a box of a dozen donuts.I know that I can talk to you whenever I want now but I wish I could of told you this when you were on earth... I love you very much. I never wanted you to think I didn't. I missed you growing up, mostly my teen years. Things would have been alot different. Your the reason music is my happiness. I listen to you alot, it keeps me close to you. I promise to have a better relationship with you now.Your forever in my heart and mind. I love you!

To Tony's family - Tony was so talented and I remember many, many times watching him perform over the years and enjoying his music. He was also a terrific person and I consider myself lucky to have known him - even if it was ages ago. I will keep all of you in my prayers as you go through this difficult time.

My dearest Brother Tony,
I just want to thank you for all the beautiful memories you gave us girls when we were small. You took us everywhere. If it wasn't for you and the boys we would have never seen anything. I also thank you for the 64 VW bug you gave me in my senior year in high school. I had some really good memories with that bug. Like the time it was raining and you put on your swimming trunks with no shoes or shirt and mom asked you what you were doing. You picked up a bucket and sponge and told mom you were going to wash the bug. She got so mad at you she was yelling at you from the front door, while i watched from the big window. And I was laughing wishing I could go out there and help you but Mom wouldn't let me. She told me I'd catch cold. So I just watched.Thank you again for those memories of our childhood. You will surely be missed. I Love You very much. I will see you again.

Hey Tony, I heard the news from Billy jr. I was shocked and told Lori about it. I saw you a couple of months ago and you promise to perform in my next son's birthday party. Will miss all the good times we had. God Bless.

To the Maligmat Family,
I met Tony just once when he visited our church, Calvary Chapel Cerritos on 2/25/07, I am so happy to know him even for just a brief moment. He invited me to play bass at his church and planned to jam, I was shocked when his friend Joe told me he went home to be with the Lord. I am sad we did'nt make it however I am happy for him because he is with Jesus. Someday we will be playing together in the Lord's presence.

To the Maligmat Family.....I remember your performances you did for us at The Filipino Community Center in Wilmington back in the 60's. My parents, Simplicio Obra and Marta Obra (now deceased) made it a point to bring me along to see you perform and I am thankful for the memories. I am very proud of all of you. I remember Tony too from those days way back then. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. God Bless Your Family and please accept my condolences to you and the entire family.
Sincerely, Tony Obra

My Dear Kababayan Tony,
Unfortunately it is only now that I come to know you. Regardless, from what I heard from others, you certainly are a pride to our people and country and we are grateful for that.
May you have eternal peace and happiness and continue your love for music up there with the angels.

Dear Tony,
It has been so long since our families spent time together. I remember all the good times we had at your house growing up. Just the other day we spent time with your Mom at my Uncle Jun's house remembering the old days. We will meet again some day.

My Brother Tony,
I always knew that God made you the most talented in our family. I'm just sad I never got to tell you that. You know why? Although Albert,Junior, and I were blessed with the talents God gave us,you are far more superior than any of us could ever be in accomplishing what you've accomplished in your lifetime. Like, you learned to play all the instruments the three of us know how to play. You taught yourself to be a one man band and really sound like a complete band. You learned to read music. I rest my case.
I will miss you very much and seeing you sing and play your guitar. Especially singing your rendition of "How Long" hee-hee.
I love you very much big brother and thanks for all the loving fights we had while I was growing up and that you always won. Thanks for being there when I needed a shoulder to lean on. I will always cherish those memories in my heart for the rest of my life.
Until our next performance as a family, I love you very much and say hello to Dad and Angela for us and tell them we Love and miss them too.
Your favorite bro-Eddie
P.S.- God take care of them.

Tony,
I can still hear your voice... "Verdgeee!" I miss you so very much but I know this is only temporary as I will see you again on that day.
