Edward Neuenfeld Obituary

Edward William Neuenfeld III, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 due to the difficulties of heart failure and kidney dysfunction.

Ed was born February 5, 1942 to Edward and Lorraine Neuenfeld, in Milwaukee.

He grew up in the Shorewood High School area, and graduated from that high school in 1960.

After graduating from the M.S.O.E. (Milwaukee School of Engineering) he was hired by the Kohler Company as an engineering draftsman.

Ed spent his entire professional career working for the Kohler Company, retiring in 2004 as Manager of Applications Engineering. Ed earned patents while working with the Engine Division.

Besides designing new engines, Ed had a passion for cars - especially high performance versions.

Ed had another passion - his yard - he really enjoyed having a super plush green yard. He also enjoyed various versions of fishing. Ed was a member of the Quarter Century Club, the Elk's Club and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Ed is survived by his children, Scott (Shelley) Neuenfeld, Michelle (Todd) Patterson and Stacy (Tim) Stoltz and grandchildren Jessica, Megan, Abigail and Jaclyn Patterson, Morgan and William Neuenfeld, and Lindsay and Kamryn Stoltz.

He is further survived by his siblings, Mari (Robert) Schmidt, Gary (Joy) Neuenfeld and Julie (Joel) Remberg. Ed was preceeded in death by his parents; his father passed away in 1982 and his mother in 1990.

Visitation for Edward will be on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan, from 3:00 p.m until 5:00 p.m. There will be a brief family service at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m.

To Ed's family:
I was a co-worker with Ed at Kohler and greatly enjoyed working with him. Unfortunately, I was out of town when I learned of his passing and could not attend the funeral. I felt bad because Ed was a good friend and true professional.

I had every intention of getting to the showing this afternoon and got stuck at work. Please forgive me and also accept my utmost condolences of your loss.
Ed was the BEST neighbor anyone could ask for and wish for and will NEVER be forgotten! I enjoyed the many Super bowls and visits with him. One thing I do know is that he loved his Children, His family and his Grand-babies !!!

Kindest Regards,

Dear Family,

I am so sorry for the loss of Eddie. I came into the family in 1960, just when he graduated from high school and I knew he was the apple of everyones eye. Last time I saw him was Josh's wedding and we had a good talk and lots of laughs and a few brewskies. It was fun. Knowing he had a beautiful yard tells me the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Sounds like he was able to enjoy his retirement.
God bless all of you and keep Ed's memory alive.

Stacy, Jerry and I hold you close this weekend and forever in your loss of such a "special" loved one. Kriss told us of how close you were and are! Remember he is just a thought away watching over you and with you. If we don't get to see you before we leave get a hug when we are back. Take care of yourself.
