HAROLD REYNOLDS
Mr. Harold Reynolds, of Harbor Club in Port Washington, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, December 11, 2012, at his residence. He was 85 years old. Harold was born in Chingford, England on September 7, 1927, son of Thomas and Anne Reynolds. He enlisted in the Royal British Army and served proudly during World War II with the 4th Queen's Own Hussars. Harold emigrated to the United States in 1954 and settled in Milwaukee. He met Alice Willetts and they were united in marriage at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Milwaukee on July 16, 1966. The couple raised their family, moving to Grafton in 1978. Mr. Reynolds worked as a purchasing agent for Taylor Electric in Mequon, retiring in 1989. Following his retirement he and Alice moved to the family's lake property in Cedar Grove. She preceded him in death in 2009. In his youth, Harold was an avid soccer player. He was a co-founder of the soccer program in the Grafton area and was responsible for starting the Cedar Grove - Belgium High School Soccer Program. When his children were young, he was a Girl Scout Leader in the Grafton area, a 4-H Woodworking Project leader and did lots of soccer coaching in Grafton, Cedarburg and Cedar Grove. Harold also did many woodworking projects for his church, St. Simon the Fisherman Episcopal Church in Port Washington. Starting in the early 1980's, Harold became St. Nic for the Port Washington Christmas On The Corner event. He found great joy in passing out goodies to good children, and walking beside Black Peter through the downtown streets. Mr. Reynolds as very proud of being one of Santa's Helpers, and participated this way for 17 years. More recently, Mr. Reynolds found a love for BINGO! He is survived by his three children: John (Brooke) Reynolds of Charlotte, NC, Jennie (Luke) Lund of Cedar Grove and Vicki (Dana) Preslan of South Milwaukee. He is further survived by three grandchildren: Hunter Lund of Cedar Grove, Addison Reynolds of Charlotte, NC and Jenny (Steve) Preslan Pires of Milwaukee, one sister-in-law Betty Reynolds of England, niece Susan (Alan Pritz) Willetts of Burlington, nephew Tom ( Beth) Willetts of Jackson, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, three brothers: Harry, Tom and Bill and brother-in-law John (the late Betty) Willetts. A Memorial Service will be held at 4PM on Friday, December 21, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Father Julian Hills will preside. Harold will be placed beside his wife in Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee, at a later date. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4PM.
