LAWNDALE- Marilyn Towery Cloninger, 73, of 3535 Shelby Road, died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Kings Mountain Hospice House in Kings Mountain.
Born Dec. 11, 1937, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late, Julius Washington Towery and Bertha Sara Brittain Towery. She was retired from FASCO and was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Cloninger; infant daughter, Lisa Jane Cloninger; brother, Joe Towery and sister, Melba Poole
Survivors include her son, Greg Cloninger and wife, Diane of Lawndale; two grandchildren, Daniel and Dillon Cloninger; three brothers, Jerry Towery of Shelby, Fred Towery of Fallston, and Dennis Towery of Lawndale, and sister, Sadie Lattimore of Germanton, NC.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Visitation from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
Funeral: 3 p.m. Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston
Burial: Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery
