Dear Libba and family,
We were shocked and very saddened to hear about the sudden passing of Joe last week. He was a great young man when I knew him at Bethel, and I very much regret that we did not get to see you both when you lived in Shelby. I know you are very proud of your and his accomplishments together over the past 50+ years.
We loved living in Aiken for 22+ years, but decided to move back to the Carlotte area to keep up with our children and eight grand children. But, we had to move away from Lake Norman in 2012 when Linda had serious congested heart failure,
As you know, we are now living in a 25+ year-old cottage in the Aldersgate UMC Retirement Community near the University area, and we are very happy and well-cared for.
I am now considered legally blind for driving due to glaucoma, and Linda has serious back stenosis and a pacemaker implant. Thus we can't travel very far these days. I was so sorry that we could not attend the service for Joe yesterday.
Our prayers are with you and your family in recovering from this sudden loss. Please come over and see us anytime if you have a chance.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Joe. Whenever I had to take my girls to the Clinic and could not see Dr. Gilliatt, Dr. Joe was always the one I asked for. Our thoughts and prayers to you and the family

Such fond memories of Dr. Minus, as a child he frequented my house often to visit my sister Kathy Granger (she lived 11 1/2 yrs in a coma) and his kind and gentle manor won any child over in his practice at the Shelby Childrens Clinic. Thoughts and prayers are extended to all of his family!
