Henry Brown Sallis' battle with Alzheimer's ended peacefully on Sunday morning, June 16, 2013, in Mansfield, LA. Henry was born April 5, 1927, in Sallis, MS. Following an honorable discharge from the US Navy in August, 1946, he married the love of his life, Mary Jo Archer, on June 15, 1947, in Mathiston, MS. During his years as a salesman Henry developed a reputation for honesty, integrity, and fair dealing throughout DeSoto Parish and the surrounding area.

The greatest joys of Henry's life came from serving Christ through his church and through loving, encouraging, and supporting his family. To his family he was Father Dear, Datie, Daddy, "Hen", Pop, Paw, Granddaddy, Uncle Datie. All who knew Henry Sallis respected him; all who knew him well, loved him.
