SHREVEPORT, LA - Mr. Kenneth F. Kotarski passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at 6:15 p.m. after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Jerry Hodges of University Church of Christ.

Mr. Kotarski was a native of Galveston, TX and a resident of Shreveport, LA for 50 years. He was a member of University Church of Christ.

Mr. Kotarski was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Kotarski; and older brother, John Kotarski. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marlene Kotarski; three daughters, Debbie Giles and husband, Gary, Carol Cockrell and husband, Allen and Karen Martinez and husband, Vince; two grandchildren, Kim Grantham and Jennifer Leach; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Grantham and Abby Grantham and their dad, Kelly Grantham; a sister, Mary Ellen Heard; and son-in-law, Dan Leach and wife, Susan.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Humane Society or local animal shelter.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Eric Smith and Dr. David Green for their loving care, his special family at the Glen and Roger and Betty Tuefel.

Ken Kotarski was a wonderful co-worker in Shreveport – he taught me so much about inventory basics as a Texas Eastern newbie – and was a wonderful, caring person. He left a lasting legacy for the backbone of our pipeline system.
