Wow!!! Linda your dad was a good looking man. Im glad you got the chance to spend a lot of time with him. Memories that no one can take from you they are precious whenever you think of them some make you laugh and some make you cry (mostly flash backs of the disciplines). But nevertheless treasure the memories don't try to hide them just enjoy them dont apolgize if you shed a tear just embrace the love that is behind it.

Linda, I pray for your Dad's "Peaceful Rest" and that you and the family share with others the many blessed and wonderful years that our loving Father would (selfishly)share with you, such a loving Man, Dad, and father. So, be encouraged, to share your love, joy, and thanksgiving.

Linda "you are amazing". Everyone around you watched you fight to the end to save your dads' life. If your love could have saved him, he would have lived a million years.

As a friend of his daughter Linda, I heard a great many things about Sgt. Alexander. From one soldier to another, Sgt. Alexander, the memory of your dedicated service to this nation will be cherished by all who inhabit this great nation of ours for generations to come. "Libertatum Defendimus: Liberty We Defend". I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Alexander, but I think I would have been blessed if I had.
We've lost another member of the "greatest generation."
God speed.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Lynn Alexander our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Lynn. And to Lynn it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II and the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force. Lynn, we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,307 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Lynn’s family and loved ones.
