Ms Maatha,
Your unexpected passing has left a huge emptiness in our hearts.
You were our instructor, friend, confidant, and travel companion. And in some ways, our 2nd mom.
As we have been reflecting these past few days we recall the encouragement you gave us in our dancing and in life. We think of all the places we would not have seen without you; the friends we have made in other states that we travelled to. We watched Matt grow into an outstanding young man with a terrific future due to your (and Bill's) caring and tutoring.
So these thoughts and memories hopefully will fill some of the emptiness in our hearts and maybe we can continue "making memories" with Bill. We miss you terribly.
with much love, Roger & Carolyn

Bill you are in our hearts and prayers. You and Martha have been special friends for many years and we love you both dearly. Martha was always the shining light to be around. Whenever you were with her she made you feel like you were special no matter who you were. There was a special place in heaven waiting for her and the Lord could not wait any longer to have her fill it. We love you Martha.

It was Martha's kindness and caring for people 'outside' the box as we were that made her special. The first time we heard of Halloween Ball was when we saw a flyer at Memphis German. Martha's encouragement made us go and we went just about every year since. Martha & Bill had a special glowing rapport with all dancers and I know this glow will continue. Our sincere sorrow to you Mr. Bill. Take comfort in knowing that a lot of people care and are praying for you and your family,

Bill, you know our prayers are with you and Matthew. You and Martha have been our special dear friends since that wonderful week in Fun Valley in 1985. Losing Martha is like losing one of our family. It was a real shock to us as I know it was to you. Carolyn has loss her memory with the Alzheimers but I do believe she remembered Martha when I read Richard Butt's e-mail about Martha. We have done so many wonderful things together, she had to remember. I will call you after you can settle down. Rodney & Carolyn Rentrop

We have enjoyed and had the honor and privelege of knowing and spending time with Martha and Bill through our common activity of round dancing. We remember Martha for her friendship, and personality. There was no one who was a stranger to Martha, as she was a caring, loving, personality to all she was in contact with. We will miss her and her wonderful smile very, very much.
We extend our sincerest sympathy, along with our thoughts and prayers to Bill and to her family.
You do not always have the good fortune in this world, to know such a wonderful lady, as Martha. Rest in God's grace and place for you, Martha, know that you were loved by the many you touched and taught.
