Noel Ann Lowe Ranney

Shreveport, LA - Noel Ann Lowe Ranney passed away on April 21, 2012, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Noel was born on April 10, 1950 in Houston Texas, but was raised in Shreveport on Bruce Street. She attended St Joseph's Elementary School and St. Vincent's Academy, graduating from Captain Shreve High School in 1968. She attended U.S.L, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Noel will be remembered by many of the members of the former University Club where she served as the events coordinator. Her style and pleasant manner helped to organize and carry off many of the special occasions that mark our lives.

Noel was preceded in death by her father, Clayton Reeves Lowe and her mother, Ann Flowers Lowe, who also passed away on April 21, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Ranney Brossette and her husband, Casey and their sons, Brooks and Beau; her sister, Diana Lowe Ely of Shreveport, LA; her brother, Warren Clayton Lowe and his wife, Sylvia of Lafayette, LA; her niece, Erin Elisabeth Ely and her children, Nicholas, Samuel and Abigail Cox of Dallas, TX; her nephews, Dr. Eugene Wesley Ely and his wife, Dr. Kim Ely and their daughters, Taylor, Brook and Blair of Nashville, TN and Dr. Scott Adams Ely and his wife, Dr. Susan Ely and their daughters, Jane and Kate of Pelham Manor, NY.

Visitation for Noel and her mother, Ann will be held on April 26, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. till time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Avenue, Shreveport, LA. Officating will be Father Richard J. Lombard. The family would like to thank the staff of Willis-Knighton Hospice and her caregivers for all their loving care during Noel's final days. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in Noel's memory be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71105; Willis-Knighton Hospice of Louisiana, Post Office Box 32600, Shreveport, LA 71130-2600 or to the charity of your choice.
