Walter Fowler Obituary
A memorial service celebrating the life of Walter Aaron Fowler, 92, will be held at 11am, Monday, February 4, 2013 at Trinity Heights Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Randy Riley. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA.
Walter went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 31, 2013. He was born on June 5, 1920 to parents, Troy Otto Fowler and Leona D. Sherwood Fowler in Success, Arkansas. Walter is preceded in death by; daughter, Walter Jean Fowler; son, Jacky Lynn Fowler and Wife, Martha Berry Fowler. He is survived by; Daughters, Betty Fowler Hatcher and husband, Darwin and Peggy Fowler Roper, grandchildren; Neda K. Hatcher, Gabriella M. Johnson and husband, David, Jonathan D. Jones, Anthony L. Jones and great-grandchildren; Christopher D. Davis and Molly V. Lynch.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or the charity of the donor's choice.

mr Walter was a wonderful man and story teller, I will never forget the time he came with his daughter peggy to my house and sit on the porch and told me stories of his childhood

Mr. Fowler was a true outdoorsman. I can remember as a little boy watching him come into the bank on Caddo with stringers full of one to two pound white perch. He was also never shy to tell of his hunting & fishing adventures...much to the delight of us little boys that when riding our bicycles would stop to watch him cleaning something...lol May God wrap the family in His loving arms and provide each of you with the comfort to see you through this difficult time.

My Grandpa had the greatest huntin' and fishin' and war stories. Every time I smell Price Ablert Tobacco, I remember sitting with him listening to his wild escapades. He will be greatly missed.
