Mr. Angelo was so good to me. I remember the day my Dad died. My departmental vehicle was parked in his garage. Billy drove me to the hospital. As we were leaving here comes Mr. Angelo telling me when I wanted to come and pick up my vehicle, give him a call, even in the middle of the night and he would have my car ready for me. Also, I was the very first and only female one day invited to his fish fry. I told him thanks but.....so he had me a to go plate made.

Dear Rickey and family, So sad and sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Roppolo. He had been a friend of my Dad's, Alex Thomas, when I was a little girl and continued to be all these years. As I grew up and became employed as a legal secretary in Shreveport and later on to be elected as a Justice of the Peace in Caddo Parish, I found myself able to visit with Mr. Roppolo quite often. He was a wonderful man. He was sweet, friendly, seemed to always have a smile and a kind word, loved to joke and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He knew how to make a person feel better. I will truly miss him. He was a very special individual who I admired very much. May he rest in peace. I look forward to the day when I will once again be able to see his sweet face.

Joan, Rickey, Jackie and family: God's Blessings during this time. I am sorry for your loss. Memories of joy will eventually wash away much sadness. Glad to have had Angelo as a neighbor and friend. Always enjoyed when his truck stopped on Lark or Cardinal. A pleasant visit would ensue.

Rickey,
Joyce and I were so saddened to hear of Angelo's passing. She had known him since childhood because of her dad, Robert Calhoun. When I went to work for the Shreveport Police Dept. in 1964, he was one of the first men that I met. Chief Teasley introduced me to him on my first day as a police officer. Over the span of my career as a police officer, I felt I could call on Angelo at any time for advice and to help anyone I felt needed his help. He was a dear friend and I feel so priveleged to enjoy the friendship I have with his son. Joyce's dad died in 2004 and mine in 2005 and they had known him for so many more years than we had. We must remember that we will all be together one sweet day in Heaven. That is our Hope as we live our lives for our Blessed Master. Solomon said, "The day of a man's death is better than the day of his birth." Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to you and the entire Roppolo family. May God envelope all of you in His arms of Love, give you the "Peace that Passeth all understanding", and keep you near to His heart in these days and the days to come.
