Nelson Therasse Obituary
Nelson Warren Therasse, age 88, of Saugus, CA passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born on August 18, 1924 in New Kensington, PA.
Nelson was a member of the United States Navy. He received many military honors, including a Purple Heart, Victory medal, Good Conduct medal, American and European Theater ribbons, and two combat stars.
Nelson is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Therasse of Saugus, CA; his son, Terry and wife, Kim of Canyon Country, CA; his daughters, Nancy Yoacham and husband, Bob of Apache Junction, AZ and Gail DiTommaso and husband, Tony of Quartz Hill, CA; his grandchildren: David Therasse and wife, Maria; Donielle Hodges and husband, Byron; Shane Yoacham; Natasha DiTommaso; Terrah Yoacham; Steven DiTommaso; and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Nelson will be held from 4-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Eternal Valley Chapel of the Hills, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 19 at Eternal Valley Chapel of the Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to a charity of your choice.
Nelson Therasse will be loved and cherished always.
