Dear Joao and Ana Paula,
Ricardo and I were so very sad to hear that Fernanda is no longer with us - we enjoyed seeing all the great photos over the years - especially Paulo and Kevin as little ones! She was a wonderful caregiver and friend to our family for all these many years. Our hearts go out to you and your family for her loss. Best regards and a big hug to you both... Minha Tia Fernanda,
I did not expect you to go away so fast. I had a great hope that we would embrace ourselves again, in a very special place that we love. I'm very, very sorry: that's all I can say.
For my Tio João Baptista, Ana Paula, Fred, Anthony and Kayla, I wish you much strength and unity, and I send to you all a big hug of love and support.
Tia Fernanda was a very, very special person to me, and I will never forget her. I wish I would have spent more time with her ...
May she rest in peace, and may her memory last and always be well remembered by those who loved her.

May the lord bless this special woman and watch over her family. We will greatly miss her during Trinity Sunday in the kitchen with the other pillars of our community helping out wherever needed. Our thoughts and prayers for her husband, daughter Ana, son in law and her grandchildren. She is now in heaven making sweet bread with the other special women that we have lost over the years.

My heart is breaking to have lost our Tia what will we do without her. She was like a mother to me and i just can't think of live without her. after all who will yell at us with as much love as she did. My Dearest Madrinha, when my mom passed away, you took on the responsibility of looking out for me and making sure that I was being taken care of. You would call to make sure I came by and picked up some pao doce that you had just made, or some Tuna that you just canned, or some tomatoes fresh-picked from your garden. And you took the same care with my kids. You watched them this past summer when my dad went to Portugal on vacation, and I remember that even on the day you went in for your treatment, you thought of them and called to remind me to enroll Xavier in CCD. This is the selfless person that you are, still thinking of your loved ones while you were going through such a difficult time. Thanksgiving was Paula's & my favorite holiday; it was the day that the whole family would come by and spend quality time and enjoy the wonderful meal you made, especially your stuffing; my favorite! And I will always cherish the time that we spent together the day before Thanksgiving, prepping for the big feast. Those are the days I will never forget. You have made an impression in our lives and you will always be with all of us. I thank you, my family thanks you, everyone thanks you, for being our ROCK.
To my Tio Joao, Primoes Ana, Fred, Anthony & Kayla, my thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Tia (Madrinha) was an amazing woman, she will truly be missed.

My avo was the greatest to ever have and she is the only frenanda I will ever have as a grandma I already miss her because I saw her everyday and the last time I got to see her was when she came home and then after went to the hospice in carlsbad and died Oct.29,2010 and I will never forget her
