ALBERT KEITH SCHUMACHER

SCHUMACHER, ALBERT KEITH Albert Keith Schumacher passed away on October 15, 2010. He was 102 years old, and lived a full and rewarding life. Born on April 9, 1908, in Kansas, he arrived in southern California in 1932 in a Model-T and settled permanently. He was a longtime resident of Del Mar, CA. Keith joins his beloved wife of 60 years, Marjory Schumacher, who passed away in 1993, and is reunited with son James and daughter Gene Ann, who preceded him and his wife. He leaves behind his brother Richard W. Schumacher, of Tucson, Arizona, and his two children, Richard K. Schumacher, of Auburn, CA, and Dianne Simms of Del Mar Heights, CA, five grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. A lifelong golfer, Keith was a member of the Lomas Santa Fe Golf Club, and played regularly up until his 101st birthday. He was a member and past president of the Del Mar Golf Club. After a successful career in real estate, he retired and traveled all over the world with his wife Marjory. In the last 18 years of his life, he was blessed to be cared for by his devoted daughter Dianne. Keith was a vibrant, outgoing, and friendly person, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to thank hospice volunteers, and especially his good friend Jerry Ott, who took time with him in his last months.
