Hon, I miss you so. If you only knew what the lonely days and nights are without you. I know you are in a better place Hon but I'm selfish and I want you back. Some day we will be together again. I'm remembering the day you would tell me to "shut up" and I would say "you make me". And then we would look at each other and start laughing. Hon, I miss you so. Your Viejo, Joe

Amelia, you bestowed upon us a great honor and an even greater pleasure, which was the gift to know you and the love you have for your family, plus your wonderful cooking :D. I say that in the present tense because you are not gone. Your life has touched all of us in its own special and individual way and through your gentleness, kindness, compassion, and strength it will continue to do so. You've left all of us a treasured gift and legacy in our hearts, the gift of love and the continued love of family. They are strong because of you. I knew when I first met you that you were the backbone of your family. You were the glue that held them all together and you continue to do so. You will always be known and remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and especially great-grandmother. I will miss not seeing you at get-togethers, but I always know you will be there saying something slightly naughty that will make us all laugh.

Heaven has now been made a greater place because of you. May you find the rest and comfort you so richly deserve. With all of our love: Ayman, Jeanine, and Teran.

I can't explain the sadness it brings me to lose another grandmother. The women who loved and cared for us all are now in Heaven. I don't know who will correct me when I'm lost trying to crochet, or who will remind me that "if I got 'em, flaunt 'em, Mi'ja!"... or who will give our parents "the finger" when reminding them that "what goes around, comes around". I can't believe my Nana won't be at my wedding or there when I have babies.. but I would trade all of that to know that she is no longer in pain. I love you and miss you so much it hurts, Nana. Please send my love to my Nana Honey, and watch over us all like you always have... I hope I made you proud. I love you always!

Amelia,
I will never forget your smile, and those beautiful eyes that always had a twinkle in them. It was an honour to have known you all these years. My sister was blessed to have had such a wonderful Mother In Law.
Love always,

Nana giving baby AJ his first bath.

I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support for my family during this tough time.
I still wish I could walk into her house and see her sitting in her chair, feet up and all. Even my son runs in the house looking for her. She wasn't only my Nana she was a nana to all. I'm really going to miss her. I'm lucky I got to spend time with her and learn how to cook. I'm so lucky she got to spend time with her great grandson. Hopefully I can take what she taught me and be the best mother I can.

I love and miss you nana and AJ will never forget his naneeee.

Dearest Amelia, I've always bragged to my 6 sisters that I had the best mother-in-law ever!!! You will truly be missed. You listened to me and gave me advice but most importantly, you always treated me like your own daughter. I will always remember our conversations and our laughters. Another angel has been added to the Heavens above! Love you always

Not only did I loose my mother on September 27, 2010 but the world lost a kind, gentle and generous woman. Mom was a strong woman, she had to be in order to raise 3 children in the 1960's as a single parent in a male dominated world. Her guidance and strict love helped me become an individual not a follower. Because of mom, I have become a great father, and a good husband. I will miss you mom forever as will my children miss their Nana.
