I feel so fortunate to have gone through my childhood years with Betty as our next door neighbor. She was always so wonderful with children. As I grew up, I realized the gifts she gave all of us who she touched. She was full of love, vivaciousness and positive energy. The world is a smaller place without her and we will all miss her very much. My heart goes out to Bill, Dana, David, Michael, Linda and the rest of the family.

As Betty's younger sister I have my fondest memories of her while I was growing up (she was like a substitute Mother figure to all of us,her siblings).Always cleaning house, tending to our baths combing and cutting my hair, teaching me to stroke my hair with a brush 100 times! She went on to marry James L. Smith and even he couldn't keep her from regular visits to tend to our needs. They lived in the Hawthorne community of LA. As her family grew up in Rncho Palos Verdes, those 3 great kids of hers were showered with her loving talents, the best of a nurturing Mom. She came back to San Diego after her divorce and we all accepted her new loving partner and later husband Bill Baker. She again became the glue that held the adult family together. Nothing will ever be the same without Betty Lou, she was a gift to all who experienced her generous, loving and patient personality. Spread the love that she gave so willingly as she would approve!

We have been so fortunate to have known Betty for the last 46 years. We shared many precious times together and we will always treasure those special times. She has been one of our dearest friends. We will miss her so very much as will the rest of our family.
Our condolences to Bill and all of Betty's family
