My thoughts and prayers are with all Gil's family and friends. He and his wife gave my brother Robert Lindfelt a wonderful loving wife. Thank you, Jeanie. I will miss seeing Gil when I visit my family in San Diego. I know how much he loved his family.

"Mr. Evans." That's how I knew this tall father of my high school classmates Jeanette and Mary Lou - the Evans family of 10 children, whose parents valued giving them a Catholic education through high school, and on to college.
Mr. Evans was the head of a family who has excelled in many areas: academically, in sports, professionally, active in church and community, and continuing the legacy of functional family lives for the Evans' grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
I still recall the Evans' family room with its bookcases filled with awards, trophies, graduation portraits, and family photos of a life rich with attentive parents and children who were brought up with character, values, and always a sense of fun.
The Evans' gave their children strong roots. Mr. Evans' pride in his family shined through his eyes, his smile, his laughter, and his words of love, acceptance, and encouragement.
Mr. Evans was in the game full-heartedly, rallying, staying the course. I know the family will carry his legacy forward.
