EDWARD McCAIN Obituary

McCAIN, EDWARD "TED" W. Born December 22, 1921 in Oklahoma to Arthur and Minnie McCain. Died at home 6, January 2011 of congestive heart failure with his wife and daughter by his side. One of six brothers and one sister, only surviving, C.P. McCain (June) of Tustin, CA. Moved to CA as a child (Romoland/Perris) and San Diego after graduating from high school. Worked at Convair before joining the Navy in WWII. Married the love of his life, Virginia Knez and celebrated 65 years of marriage June 3, 2010. Two children, John (deceased), and daughter Linda Newald (Larry), two grandchildren David (Sylvia), and Jennifer Lazaro (Dave), eight great-grandchildren. He worked as a roofer and owner of T.B. Baker Roofing Co. for 34 years. A passion for boating, antique cars and RV traveling. He loved his workshop and spent many hours making gifts for his family and friends. An amazing man who always put family first and lived life his way. He will be missed. Services Friday, January 14, 12:00 at El Camino Memorial, 3953 Imperial Ave., San Diego.
