EDWIN V. HARRIS

HARRIS, EDWIN V. Nov. 23, 1924 to Oct. 13, 2010 Edwin Harris passed away peacefully in his sleep. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Harris was a veteran of World War II who served on Iwo Jima among other campaigns with the United States Marine Corps. After the war, Mr. Harris received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and eventually settled in San Diego where he started his own construction company, EVH Construction in El Cajon. Mr. Harris was active in many civic and social organizations throughout the years in the San Diego area. He loved to travel; he and his wife Maxine traveled all over the world during their 19 years together. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife Maxine, children Lisa, Howard, and Daniel, step-children Terri and Ron, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Harris also has many relatives still in the Cincinnati area. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Silverado Hospice of San Diego.
