EVELYN "EVIE" PATAPOW

PATAPOW, EVELYN "EVIE" May 15, 1937 to Nov. 10, 2010 Evie passed away peacefully in her sleep after spending the day with family. She leaves behind three daughters: Victoria, Sandra, Pamela, their husbands and grandchildren Rachael, Jordan, Estefan and Tatiana all of San Diego, CA. As well as her mother Ida of Schenectady, NY, sister Irene of Camden, MA, sister Laurie of Schenectady, NY, their families and many beloved friends around the world. Evie grew up in Schenectady, NY, and graduated from the University of Delhi with a BA in English. She married and moved to San Diego, CA in 1959. Evie built her dream home in Pine Valley where she raised her three daughters. She enjoyed her 32 years at the American Tuna Boat Association. Evie moved to El Cajon and relished an active retirement with her grandchildren and friends. An avid fisherman, gourmet cook, gardener and lover of orchids she wanted to be remembered with a good meal and a toast, Na Zdrowie and sa`ude. Evie will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother "Babci" and one heck of a fierce woman. Private services were held at Singing Hills Memorial Park.
