I was deeply saddened to hear of Jim's death. Jim and Dorothy have been so kind to me on those occasions when I have been able to attend La Jolla Presbyterian while in San Diego visiting my sister, Joanne. They have prayed for me many times during difficult days.

The world will not be the same without Jim in it. My condolences to Dorothy and the family.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He was a wonderful colleague at General Dynamics Electronics and always so friendly and upbeat. Jim taught me to sail and checked me out for membership in the Convair Sailing Club. I remember fondly Jim's surprise 60th birthday party and the fun we had that day. Jim advised me in matters of finance and investments over the years, but in his wisdom always reminded me to put God and family above all else. My deepest sympathy and prayers for Dorothy and his entire family at this difficult time.

Jim was always such a cheerful person! On Sunday mornings at La Jolla Presbyterian, Charlie and I sat in our usual location near Dorothy and Jim and enjoyed the special Christian fellowship and love we shared. Dorothy and Jim co-hosted a church dinner with us leaving fond memories of good times together- planning, preparing, and serving. Jim and I though we did such a fantastic job that maybe we should consider a catering business....all in fun. My condolences to the family, and God bless his grandchildren who loved him so dearly.

Jim and his family were neighbors of mine for about six years. If I had to describe them in a word, it would be "thoughtful." I remember Jim taking the time to tell me about the travel agency business. He thoughtfully parked his car a little ways down the street from his house, thus leaving room for my guests in front of my house. We weren't close friends and I haven't seen Jim in years, but my memories of him are very good ones. My sincere condolences go out to his family.
