I was going through some old files and found a birthday card from Julie. So I did a google search and discovered she had passed. My heart sank in a puddle of tears. I was a contractor and I first met Julie in 1989 when she worked as structural engineer for the County of San Diego. We dated for a while until I moved out of the area. She had such a lovely personally and that southern drawl and giggle. It use to crack me up when she would pull up to my house in her VW bug with her surfboard sticking out of the top. My two boys loved her like a mom/sister. My son Travis who just turned 30 in 2009 was killed instantly in a car accident a week after they found out they were having their first child are rejoicing in Heaven together. If I may ask, how did she pass.

I only met Julie briefly a couple of times at Tom's class reunion (I was from the same class at ECVHS). Beautiful, gentle, fragile spirit describes her well. Rest in peace, Julie. And be strong, Tom. Donna J. Warlick

We all loved Julie at Cal State Fullerton. She was sweet, funny, and so naive. I loved her little southern drawl. Although we spoke only a couple times a year I still feel close to her and miss her.

To say I miss her doesn't even come close. How many brothers can say they had Julie for a sister and amazing friend since the day they were born. Tom, here if you need me.-Mark W.

This came as such a shock. Julie was always the first one to greet us at family events and was always interested and caring in those she engaged in conversation. Tom, we send our love and prayers to you. This must be so difficult.

I'm gonna miss Julie babbling away in the background of our phone conversations. She was such a supportive individual and a sharp mind. She had a real openess and innocence about her that was refreshing. Hopefully , she's strolling the streets of heaven giving your puppy some excercise. Hold that thought. cj
